Meet the Human Staff at Sawhorse Hill
Mary Lynn is a licensed substance abuse counselor and has been on staff at Pavillon International
since 1993. She developed the Pavillon Equine Program because she knew how healing horses had been in her early recovery from substance
abuse and was eager to share that gift with her clients. Mary Lynn and her husband Archie built Sawhorse Hill in 2000
and love sharing their beautiful farm with others. You can contact Mary Lynn at: marylynns@skyrunner.net
Jon Little is also employed as a substance abuse counselor at Pavillon. He is the Manager of the Men's unit and has been doing equine facilitated therapy at Sawhorse Hill since 2000. Jon brings his extensive experience in experiential therapies, including ropes courses to his equine therapy work. He loves the horses and stands in awe as they open up his clients to their deepest feelings. Jon is also a EFP coach for other members of his staff who are learning about and facilitating EFP group sessions at Sawhorse Hill.
Melinda is our Professional Horse Person. Melinda has been supporting the services at Sawhorse Hill for three years. She brings a keen eye for what the horses are reflecting to the client and catches anything the therapist might miss in the client horse interaction. Melinda also takes full responsibility for the safety and well being of the horses and will quickly intervene if she thinks an animal is becoming stressed or over stimulated.
