Bay Boy is the foundation of our equine herd. Bay Boy is a sensitive and expressive therapy
horse. He readily connects with "real" folks and will not give a nod to anyone who lacks authenticity.
He is quick to identify and mirror back hostility in others but the clients warm to his gentle acceptance and honest feedback.
Dozer is the "old man" of the herd. He is perfectly suited to be our codependent
magnet. He attracts people with big, soft, sad eyes and then, when the opportunity arises, blows their covers
by making it perfectly clear they have no boundaries. Dozer loves his work.
Ashly is the Lady of the barn. Ashly demands that people step fully
into their own personal power. She will not connect with anyone who shrinks from who they are. But she will nurture those
in pain and lovingly connect to any one who has earned her respect.
Mud Pie and
Maggie are the newest members of the Therapy Team. Both are just emerging from adolelscence and learning
the ground manners that are required in this work.
Lucy will
always be remembered as the small horse with the ability to heal victims of trauma and abuse. We lost Lucy on
Valentines Day 2004 but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
